I wanted to practice on a more exaggerated body type and thought a flannel shirt fit this character, while still a work in progress I wanted to showcase my work along the way. I want the shirt to be very structured so I decided to try flat patterning for the garment. I have since been cutting and sewing the pieces together and will soon be experimenting with different linings to manipulate a "tight" fit in the shirt around the widest part of his belly, with straining fabric and buttons.
