Striped Tunnel Room

This was shot under a 14mm lens so the build had to be oddly shaped to account for the wide angle. When designing this set piece I created a mockup underneath the wide lens for accuracy. It was cut out of MDF and plywood supports were used for the outside.

Diner Booth

I was responsible for the upholstery and partial build of this booth. I slush cast all the booth cushions, and upholstered them, the back consisted of five pattern pieces and the bottom cushion one. After the assembly, I gave an aging pass to the set piece and added the film's style texture.

Diner Booth Variations

Phase 1

Phase 2

There were three iterations of the booth in total, the original, phase 1, and phase 2. I designed the booth phases and created vector art in illustrator to have them laser cut. They were cut out of MDF and masonite. one booth went through an upholstery process and the other only painted.

Laundry Hamper

I designed the laundry hamper build in illustrator, making vector art to be laser cut in acrylic. The pieces were assembled and finished with bondo and paint.

Diner Stools

Trenches were dremeled into the underside of the plastic seats so the vinyl could sit underneath without affecting the way the cushion lays on the seat. I upholstered the bases in the same vinyl I had been using for all of the other seats and applied the same aging and texturing process I used with the booths.

Exit Sign
